The Continuous Performance Management System – Bank of Goals and Competencies provides Louisiana State Government supervisors and managers with sample SMART goals
and competency behaviors to support ongoing employee evaluation and development. The SMART goals are designed to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound,
ensuring clarity, trackability, and alignment with job responsibilities within a defined timeframe.
In addition to SMART goals, the Competency Bank of Behaviors also offers sample competency behaviors,
which are based on the SCS Competency Model and its associated behaviors.
These competencies highlight the key skills and behaviors expected of employees to succeed in their roles.
Supervisors are not required to use the sample goals and competencies provided but can adapt them as needed to better reflect their employees' specific duties and development needs.
