Close from a Warehouse Supervisor. Other reporting relationships may be approved by SCS.

JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from other jobs by the presence of operational support tasks in a warehouse environment.

Differs from Warehouse Technician 2 by the absence of experienced-level warehouse duties.

At this level, incumbents perform basic operational support tasks under close supervision. Duties may include a combination of inventory handling, clerical, custodial, and light mobile equipment operation tasks in a warehouse environment.

Receives and unloads incoming stock or equipment.

Tags, marks, and/or prices stock in accordance with established procedures.

Follows procedures for equipment issuance and return.

Delivers inventory items when needed.

Counts items of stock or equipment during routine physical inspections.

Maintains the cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping, wiping, taking out trash, etc.

Becomes familiar with the inventory system; enters basic inventory information in the system.

Becomes familiar with safety procedures for warehouse operations.
