FUNCTION OF WORK:To supervise operations support tasks for a state park or state historic site.
LEVEL OF WORK:SUPERVISION RECEIVED:General from higher-level personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:Direct over Park Technicians. Other reporting relationships may be approved by SCS.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from Park Technician C by the presence of direct supervisory responsibilities.

Supervises a team of Park Technicians performing operations support tasks for a state park or state historic site.
Conducts daily supervision of subordinate activities and evaluates performance.
Provides orientation and training to new employees; provides in-service continuing education as needed.
Ensures subordinates follow safety protocols, such as using caution signs, wearing protective gear, etc.
Schedules work and approves leave for subordinates.
Issues supplies and equipment to subordinates.
Maintains inventory by ordering supplies as needed and ensures equipment is properly maintained.
Keeps and maintains time, attendance, supply, and equipment usage records. Prepares reports for management review.
Oversees usage and safekeeping of keys. Requests locksmith services as needed.
Reports building or equipment repairs as needed.
Performs research and makes recommendations to management on cleaning products and equipment.
May coordinate with vendors as necessary.
May occasionally perform technician duties as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience in building maintenance, clerical work, custodial work, food service work, or groundskeeping.
