FUNCTION OF WORK:To provide guidance to customers on print job specifics and prepare related quotes.
LEVEL OF WORK:SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Direct from an OTS Statewide Print Services Supervisor. Other reporting relationships may be approved by SCS.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from other IT Statewide jobs by the presence of responsibility for providing guidance and quotes to customers on print job orders.
 
 Differs from OTS Statewide Printing Consultant 2 by the absence of experienced-level print consulting responsibilities.

Learns about print job specifications, such as appropriate layouts, designs, paper, etc.
 
 Learns how to prepare quotes based on specifications.
 
 Receives instruction from higher level OTS Statewide personnel on various technologies and policies as applicable to statewide printing functions.
 
 Under close supervision, consults with customers relative to basic print job specifications such as monochrome reprographics with minimal finishing.
 
 Learns to complete print job tickets in an electronic system to initiate production and billing of the customer's order.
 
 Assists in advising customers on job status by referencing information in the electronic system; may contact vendors for order updates as applicable.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience or training is required.
