Participates in overseeing housing units for a housing assistance program.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Direct from a Housing Supervisor or higher level personnel.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
None.

JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from a Housing Specialist 2 by the absence of experienced level housing responsibilities.

Maintains documentation according to established program guidelines.

Maintains wait lists.

Answers phone.

Schedules inspections and work orders.

Composes correspondence related to housing programs.

Enters information into housing databases.

Answers questions and gives information related to the housing program.

May collect rent according to established policy.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of experience in administrative services, housing management, real estate, or social services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.
