FUNCTION OF WORK:To conduct field audits of employer records as required or assigned to determine correctness of tax reports, and to obtain information relative to employer liability and status, experience rating, and employer wages.

Computes and collects current and delinquent unemployment insurance taxes from employers within district.
Contacts employers new to the district to establish unemployment insurance accounts and inform them of their obligations.
Responds to inquires from the public regarding employment security laws and programs.
Audits payroll records of employers to ensure the correct amount has been paid in unemployment insurance taxes and benefits to claimants.
Researches and identifies new employers within their district.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of experience in accounting, auditing, or unemployment insurance; OR
A bachelor's degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, or unemployment insurance; OR
A bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, or unemployment insurance; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
