FUNCTION OF WORK:To assist an agency administrator or other official in the administration, management, and evaluation of agency programs and/or to serve as an intern in any department function.
LEVEL OF WORK:SUPERVISION RECEIVED:Broad from an agency administrative official or other designee.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:May exercise line and/or functional supervision over subordinate fiscal, managerial and/or clerical personnel. No supervision is required.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from related administrative jobs by the specialized assignment as a professional intern.

Confers with agency supervisors and administrative officials on specific specialized phases of administration in an agency.
Recommends continuance, revision or establishment of management programs or procedures to enhance agency operations in either personnel, administrative, accounts or related fields.
Conducts management studies of administrative and technical programs involving one or more areas of agency operations.
Prepares written reports and evaluations.
Assists in the management of the preparation of specific budgets or the maintaining of budget control accounts for the largest state agencies.
Assists in the management of a purchasing section engaged in the preparation of bid specifications and awards or independently supervises a specific section of purchasing.
Assists management in the promulgation and implementation of any or all phases of assigned programs from initial draft to follow-up evaluation.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Health Administration, Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Health, or a Juris Doctorate.
NOTE:
Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.
