Applies architectural principles, theories, concepts, methods, and techniques in the planning, design, construction, and/or inspection of buildings.
Ensures compliance with required building safety, ADA accessibility, and energy codes as established by regulatory authorities.
Monitors and initiates general correspondence and coordinates the implementation of required changes for assigned projects.
Consults with design professionals as necessary to modify plans for assigned projects.
Contacts clients and makes on-site visits relating to the assigned project.
Designs and produces construction documents; observes construction on assigned projects.
Periodically reviews codes, regulations, and standards to keep abreast of changes.
Reviews and analyzes construction plans to determine compliance with applicable fire safety, ADA accessibility, and energy codes.
Conducts inspections of general occupancy types, penal institutions, hospitals, malls, bulk fuel facilities, universities, etc.
Attends formal training seminars for continuing education purposes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice architecture.
