FUNCTION OF WORK:
To manage the maintenance, programming, and service of election equipment for an election district(s).

LEVEL OF WORK:
Manager

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Broad direction from an Election Technician Regional Coordinator or higher level election staff.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Direct over Election Technician Supervisor and lower level election staff.

JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from Election Technician Supervisor by the presence of supervisory responsibility for an entire election district(s).

Differs from Election Technician Regional Coordinator by the absence of managing all districts within a region.

EXAMPLES OF WORK:

Manages all activities performed by lower-level personnel including programming, repairing, and refurbishing election equipment.

Determines and organizes strategic placement, within the district, of personnel trained in electronic and/or mechanical election equipment to diagnose, repair, and report problems on election day.

Researches information on number of registered voters in each precinct in a district and determines allocations of electronic and/or mechanical election equipment necessary to successfully conduct elections.

Manage availability and distribution of all electronic and/or mechanical parts and components.

Analyzes the results of acceptance tests performed on election equipment and makes final determination on acceptance of the equipment.

Ensure agency compliance with Louisiana Election Code (Title 18).Re-tabulates all election equipment trouble calls filed on Election Day and analyzes information to determine the causes of malfunctions; takes appropriate action to resolve/prevent malfunctions in the future.

Monitors post election logic and accuracy tests and analyzes results.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:

Certification on the AVC Advantage and the AVC Edge voting machines plus four years of experience or training in the maintenance, programming, and repair of electronic election equipment.
