FUNCTION OF WORK:To provide a variety of psychological services to clients and organizations. Work is generally supervised by a senior Psychologist or Associate 4 to a Psychologist under the direction of a Licensed Psychologist.
LEVEL OF WORK:SUPERVISION RECEIVED:General from a senior Psychologist or Associate 4 to a Psychologist. All work is monitored under the direction of a Licensed Psychologist. Administrative supervision may be provided by a facility administrator or other professional at a higher level.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:May supervise lower-level Associates to a Psychologist and/or professional support personnel.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from the Associate 2 to a Psychologist by the presence of advanced, lead-worker, or independent responsibilities in a specific area, unit or program.
Differs from the Associate 4 to a Psychologist by the absence of managerial duties.

Conducts evaluations, including psychometric evaluations, annual progress assessments and determination of training or therapeutic needs.
Prepares behavioral or psychological case summaries.
Prepares reports for interdisciplinary team staffings and discusses reports as appropriate at staffings.
Participates as psychological representative in the development of individual client treatment plans and provides counseling or other psychological services as recommended by the interdisciplinary team.
Conducts and manages pre-planned and approved behavior management programs.
Conducts specialized training for paraprofessional and professional staff.
Provides direction and guidance to Associates to a Psychologist, other disciplines and paraprofessional personnel in psychological program implementation and environmental influences on quality of life for clients.
Participates in parent training as appropriate.
Conducts approved research projects.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A master's degree in psychology followed by two years of experience in psychological testing; psychological research; or the design and implementation of behavioral management plans; OR
Thirty semester hours of graduate-level training in psychology earned after completing a master's degree in psychology plus one year of experience in psychological testing; psychological research; or the design and implementation of behavioral management plans; OR
A doctorate degree in psychology.
