FUNCTION OF WORK:
To serve as a principal assistant to a Marina Manager in directing the activities of one of the Orleans Levee Board Marinas.

LEVEL OF WORK:
Manager

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Broad review from a Marina Manager.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Line over Maintenance Repairers and general laborers.

JOB DISTINCTIONS:
Differs from Marina Manager by absence of responsibility for directing all activities of one of the Orleans Levee Board Marinas.

Supervises the security and maintenance operations for a Orleans Levee Board Marina and serves as principal assistant to a Marina Manager.

Inspects all facilities including waterways, boat slips, wharves, piers, heads and other areas for cleanliness, needed repairs and security.

Plans, reviews and directs safety operations during hurricanes and rising water.

Develops budget recommendations for personnel services, equipment and materials for the operations of the marina.

Coordinates work by scheduling assignments and directing the work of a small unit of employees engaged in maintenance and security operations.

Serves as Marina Manager in the absence of the manager.

Maintains records and prepares reports.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of experience in administrative services; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR

An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.
