FUNCTION OF WORK:To support the Enforcement Division of The Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control as well as local, state, and federal criminal investigations by providing accurate, concise, and complete analyses of diversified intelligence and operational data in a timely manner which involves recording, evaluating, and classifying data for retrieval purposes.
LEVEL OF WORK:SUPERVISION RECEIVED:General from ATC Agent 4 or other higher-level personnel.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:LOCATION OF WORK:Department of Revenue-Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control.
JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from ATC Enforcement Analyst 1 by the presence of experienced-level duties.
Differs from ATC Agent by lack of law enforcement commission.

Manages ATC compliance database and ATC complaint database.
Analyzes complaint and other types of data to identify patterns and areas needing additional enforcement efforts.
Prepares data reports for the U.S. Department of Justice, and other agencies as directed.
Compiles and analyzes data for the annual ATC Alcohol Baseline Study.
Researches and analyzes data relative to alcohol density, and crime statistics as well as youth impact from alcohol including alcohol-related youth fatalities, teen pregnancy rates and other health issues where the state is adversely financially impacted.
Researches and analyzes available data management and tracking software and recommends upgrades.
Prepares budget reports as directed.
Tracks and reports performance data for grant projects.
Receives and analyzes sub-grant reports and claims.
Assists ATC Agent 5 and 6 in drafting written reports.
Conducts appropriate criminal history checks as directed and must maintain certification to conduct criminal history checks.
Processes special requests from other law enforcement agencies for information and records.
Makes confidential inquiries into highly sensitive computerized files.
Requests, receives, compiles, analyzes, and disseminates criminal intelligence data.
Analyzes complex criminal investigations.
Oversees special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of experience in budgeting, contracts or grants management, or statistical analysis; OR
Three years of experience in law enforcement or active military service plus one year of experience in budgeting, contracts or grants management, or statistical analysis; OR
A bachelor’s degree plus one year of experience in budgeting, contracts or grants management, or statistical analysis.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a current Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment.
An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws are granted.
